The insurance industry is getting ready for a major collision with the Government thanks to the major battle of the Black Box (pay-as-you drive technology).
Money, Money, Money this is all the Government can think of, they spend it faster than they get it and want to use the new Black Box technology as a way to set tolls penalizing motorists for driving on the most congested routes.
This is not want the insurers want, they want to use it to reward drivers for using safer roads.
Despite a million drivers signing an online protest petition the Department for Transport has confirmed it is still going ahead with pilot road-charging projects.
We can see that congestion needs to be sorted but is this the right way to do it?
