Big shake-up for car insuranceMarch 8th, 2007
Since 1992 car insurance groups have stayed the same with 20 common groups we all know, but now there is about to be a big shake up as the Association of British Insurers are now changing the system to now 50 groups as new categories have been created to reflect new breeds of car.
While these groups are not binding to the insurers, most do use them to price their insurance policies.
If you drive a 4×4, a ’super-mini’ or sporty diesel then your car insurance could be about to rise much higher than before.
