Gocompare On Target To Hit Eight Million QuotesJanuary 17th, 2008

Price comparison site Gocompare.com is set to be en route to notching up eight million car insurance quotes in 2008. Over the past 12 months, Gocompare kick started their marketing campaign and now the company, who started in a living room with just 4 employees, is going from strength to strength.
Since the launch, Gocompare has now recruited another 23 companies and has moved from the living room to their own office. Managing director Hayley Parsons spoke about the competition the company now faces, primarily Confused.com and Moneysupermarket.com. Parson’s said,
“This is a competitive sector and the chances are that it will become even more competitive this year. But things have gone amazingly for us, well beyond our expectations. We have really worked hard on changing the customer proposition and keeping ahead of the competition.”
So what does Hayley Parsons predict for comparison websites in the future?
“There is a big comparison market out there already, in five years’ time people looking for car insurance will go to a comparison site. At the moment, people tend to just renew their insurance and don’t shop around. Customers buying car insurance are more switched on to the savings you can make, but the market dragging behind is home insurance.
“So the whole market is going to grow. It already has substantially and that will continue.”
