Reports Show Women Need Comprehensive Car Insurance To Cover Personal ItemsMarch 10th, 2008

It has been reported that women in the UK need to make sure they have comprehensive car insurance to ensure their personal items in their vehicles are covered.
Data from Sheilas’ Wheels has showed that, on average, women in the UK leave £129 worth of personal items inside their cars. It is suggested that women take out comprehensive car insurance.
The report said that an increase in ‘after work’ culture means 27% of women were leaving their expensive shoes and clothes in their cars. The report went on to say that 67% of female motorists confessed to leaving up to four pairs of shoes in their car at any one time!
Jacky Brown from Sheilas’ Wheels has said,
“Any personal belongings, whatever their value, that are left unattended in a car can be easy pickings for opportunistic thieves. To avoid a smashed window or a broken lock, we want to encourage all women to avoid using their car as a wardrobe on wheels and leaving anything strewn over the back seat, on display.”
