The Average Insurance Premium Rose 5% In One Year

Did you know that your car insurance is now costing you 5% more now than it did a year ago? Well, new figures have revealed the increase with motorists aged 40 to 50 facing the biggest increases.

Although the average insurance premium has increased to 5.24% in just 12 months, for the motorists aged 40 to 50, the average rise was a staggering 7%!

For all motorists the average premium now costs £497.26 but the under-25s, who have faced a rise of 6.59%, now pay an average of £1,255.99
