Tired Motorists: as much risk as drunksApril 30th, 2007

We all get car insurance because we have to by law and we also need to be covered in case of accidents, but some people might find they could be risking their car insurance more than they know.
If you’re a driver who feels very tired at the wheel and you decide not to stop for a rest or nap you pose the same risk as someone under the influence of alcohol, it has been reported by Kwik Fit and a scientific study from Volvo Trucks.
They have also said that they are looking at different technologies that will recognise when a motorist is feeling drowsy behind the wheel.
What are your views on being tired while driving? Do you think it’s the same as drink driving? And should being tired risk your car insurance?

I agree, if your tired then you are not 100% on the road and as such can end up hurting a lot of people…you are a big risk if tired and driving.
