To Catch Motor Cheats: Rochdale goes high-tech

March 6th, 2007

Car Insurance
With so many car insurance and road tax evaders around the police in the north-west of England have decided to target these people with the aid of specialist high-tech equipment.
Using Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology the Rochdale officers in Turf Hill, Newbold and Freehold have seized vehicles and handed out on-the-stop fines of £80.
It is reported that this new system is here to stay as it has been having fantastic results in catching the law breakers.
So if you are driving your car without car insurance then be warned that the Automated Number Plate Recognition technology may catch you soon enough.
